If you are new to restoring audio and are looking for a simple but effective program, MAGIX Audio Cleaning Lab is exactly that. We also made a few dozen small changes to the audio file and tried to undo all of them, but the software wouldn't allow it. Many of the other audio editors we reviewed allow you to apply delay, chorus, flanger and other effects to your audio – effects not present in Audio Cleaning Lab. This audio editing program is missing many of the effects that other audio editors offer. There's a freeware audio program called "Audacity", which really doesn't have anything over Vegas audio capability other than the noise removal function, (maybe Vegas 14 has that/don't own it).Where this software falls short compared to other top audio editing software, like WavePad, is its lack of audio editing tools. There are also many third-party audio plugins you can download for free. It's already a very capable audio editor.

Some situations may require you to manually sync the two files on the time line.Īre you looking at the Magix program because you want everything automated? Because Sony Vegas was originally an audio program, with the video function added with later versions. If you create a new audio track in Vegas, set the cursor to the original audio file start point and just double-click it, it will line up automatically and you can mute the original audio. You import that wav into audio editor.once you're done adjusting audio, you similarly export as an uncompressed wav and import the new file back into Vegas. I've found that doesn't always work, but if already have the Vegas 13/14 Magix Vegas it should.Įven if the integration function doesn't work and this is with video in Vegas, you can use any audio program provided you export the audio file as an uncompressed wav (no quality loss). Vegas has an option to choose an audio editor to open with a project. Or pointers to any other sound cleaning tools that don't cost an arm and leg would be appreciated Does it integrate into Vegas Pro? Do the tools actually work?

I had noticed Magix Audio CLeaning Lab which seems to have tools for various kinds of outlyer noise. Of course there are very expensive tools like Sound Forge or Izotope. I am looking for some additional tools that can help clean up audio that are compabable with Vegas Pro.
